Nothing like having to tell the grandchildren how you survived Hurricane DaSheeki.

Sounds like a fun idea to me. They should start over with the A's right now - Anastasia, Blanquita, Chandeliera, etc...

:)

I hate to say it though, but I agree with Limbaugh on this one. Blacks, whites, Asians, whoevers, are all named similarly. I know plenty of black people named John, Steve, Kevin and other common names. I don't see any hurricanes named Thaddeus, Wilhelm, or Jebediah. Talk about white names...those are as white as they come.

The US government is useless. They only shock me when they actually accomplish something worth while.

I can hear it now in rap music everywhere.

"I'm gonna get drastic on your ass like Hurricane Juwana"

Why can't we all just get along? Why does everyone have to make issues of such small $hit all the time?

So tell me, how do we define "black names." Doesn't that in itself imply some racism?

I see your point, but in the US China, Korea and France are different countries with their own language.
I just don't see how this would apply to so-called 'black names', many of which are made up and don't actually originate in Africa. (I think!)

That was my thought. Pretty racist to think a name like "Andrew" only applies to whites. Also it's pretty racist to think a name like LeRoy applies only to blacks.

Why not forget about the issue and do something useful, Mrs. Sheila?

i don't know why poeple are making such a big fuss over the names of hurricanes, i mean i'm a minority and i don't care if they call it Hurricane David, Tyrone, Juan, Andre, Jaehoon, Takashi, or whatever, it's still gonna destroy homes and kill people all the same. Why don't politicians try and figure out how to predict and prepare for hurricans better, rather than making a committee to try and determine a politically correct name because at this rate, i'm sure someone will start to say that hurricane names are sexist as well.

Heh. Hurricane Shaniqua!

Seriously though, the only reason this is an issue is because certain ghetto mothers get off on making up words for their children's names because they've been raised with a black > white attitude all their lives (Before you disagree with me, go watch the news for a city like Baltimore. It's always black people spouting off about how some 'evil' white guy ran over some 'innocent' black kid that was playing in the street) and want to make their kids as un-white as they can possibly be.
