in atlanta we get the weather from about 70-80% of the gulf and east coast florida hurricanes. we are 300 miles away from the gulf coast yet we get all the rain and winds for 3 or more days. quite amazing how far this air and moisture have traveled and how grand hurricanes really are. there is nothing humans can do to avoid, lessen or prevent them. kind of humbling.
