This is basically true though.

Liberals think the government should benefit all their constituents. Conservatives think the government should be used to punish their enemies.
Conservatives believe that literally everything is net zerosum. Even things that are non-static or non-quantifiable, and definitely anything financial (even though that rarely applies macro). So of course to them any extension of aid to blue states means less aid (when needed) to red states. And we're not supposed to talk about what goes around coming back around when the red states are in need.

Yep. And DeSantis in Congress voted against aid for Sandy

He's going to win re-election by like 10 points as the states entire property insurance market collapses. Florida is such a deeply weird place totally devoid of any consideration of risk or consequences. It's just a vibe plowing heedlessly on. But as a state originally built on scams I guess its consistent.

Anybody who supports that fascist I could give two shits about in regards to property insurance or property damage. I just feel bad for those who don't support fascism and wish them all the luck dealing with the bullshit ahead.

Came here wondering the same thing. Not only that, she spoke 2nd.

You're right. I didn't catch that initially. She went before any of the emergency staff doing updates. And it was something about a charity or fundraising thing she was heading ... just awful. Not quite tossing rolls of paper towels awful, but still tone deaf.

Ian is going to cause another big wave of migration like Katrina did. A lot of people won't be able to rebuild, which in some of these places is fine. I mean like Cape Coral is an affront to nature basically just begging to be destroyed.
