OK, so what treasonous thing is he up to today that he deploys this nonsense as cover?

He actually deployed this nonsense a couple of days ago. This is just garden variety Trump being a dumb ass who can't ever admit he was wrong.

So screw all of the other people as long as Trump suffers? I have family in West Palm. Thanks.

My heart goes out to the Bahamians. Dorian decided to do a Harvey on them. :( Hope when she gets moving again, she's majorly weakened and takes a turn out to sea.

Still rooting for a direct hit on Mar-a-Lago...

Dorian is more powerful than any sky fairy...(it's real)

We can hope...(sorry West Palm Beachers...)

Well they get to live in the Bahamas the rest of the year, so they have that.. I mean it sucks for them, but this is nothing new, they chose to live in that place.. They knew it would happen.
Multiple hurricanes pass over those islands every season, it's comical when the news act all surprised; "a hurricane caused damage?! we could not have foreseen this! How could this happen again...? (like it did 5 times last year...)"

Hmm, some spaghetti models from the 30th of August clearly show that Alabama could possibly be in play. The path was pretty much uncertain at that point.

https://www.insider.com/hurricane-dorian-spaghetti-models-path-florida-2019-8

Uhmm, the only spaghetti model from your link that has even a single line into Alabama quite clearly and repeatedly shows it is from the 28th of August, not the 30th. The same model that gave the possibility of Alabama being in play (AEMN) had discounted it by 30 August as you can see from the next chart in your link.

Nice job not reading your own links, you big dummy.

Trump was wrong and he's too stupid and mentally ill to admit he was wrong.

Funny I didn't hear any news at all about the Alabamians having to shutter their doors and windows or evacuating westward by the untold thousands.

Must'a dozed off for a coup'la secs while keeping close watch on the media's reports about this ongoing disaster.

Trump tweeted that 9am Sept 1

NWS tweeted 5pm it was a cat4 and was not going to hit Alabama

How do you explain that?

I can. Trump should not be golfing during a crisis and do his job

"It's not a crisis because the Bahamas aren't part of the US and it's only a CAT-3 now and it's barely making landfall so Florida is OK hence Trump can golf all he wants because he's getting things done #MAGA." :D

Trump is the anti-science candidate. If you want to cheer against science, he's yer guy. I'm not proud to be an American.

Path was difficult to predict however only a complete moron would believe Trump over trained scientists.
You'd be surprised, based on the attitudes of the two gentlemen who sat at the table across from me at lunch. Engineers, but also Trumpers (though I doubt they would agree with Trumps weather predictions - so I guess your point stands).

I guess you can be a trained engineer and still be politically obtuse.

That's not what I was talking about. I'm specifically speaking to people who say, 'I hope x's house gets destroyed. I don't wish bad on anyone; even the people with whom I disagree and don't particularly like. That's just plain awful.

When I clicked on this thread I thought it was going to actually contain some information about the hurricane. You know information about the path, who will be affected, how strong it is expected to be at land fall ect....Maybe some information I missed but no it didn't

All I got out of this thread is a bunch of arm chair P&N nerds going off in a circle jerk about Trump and the destruction of his resort on the first page and then some bs about Venus, climate change, and percentages of climate change compared to Venus on the third page. Oh and course a little more Trump mockery peppered in for good measure. I didn't even bother reading the second page.

Jesus christ you guys......this whole thread is really sad. I know I'm going to get hammered for posting this opinion but IDC. You all managed to make a hurricane/natural disaster politically biased and that's disheartening.

To be fair, the hurricane wasn't really that important when it looked like Puerto Rico was going to take the brunt of it. The President was busy whining about political corruption there, not how the country could help the previously hurricane ravaged area manage another vicious storm. It was only when it steered itself somewhat towards Florida and his resort that he decided to throw the might of the countries power and money at it. Some of us find that rather interesting, almost as if he is just the President of Florida, and not the entire U.S. and it's territories.
