Hurricane coming, 5 day weekend for me!

Looks like Frances is coming right for us and the school board decided to close schools tomorrow and friday, eventhough its not coming til saturday morning. 5 day weekend for me! But, I still gotta put the shutters up which is a major pain in the ass. 🙁
Now I just hope it turns before it gets here, which would be awesome.
 
MOFO, my boss just changed our schedule.... on the bright side, I picked the 3pm - 12 midnight shift tomorrow and friday. free dinner because it is after hours work.
 
Sh1t. I'm supposed to drive from New Orleans to Panama City Beach, FL on Sunday, spend the day there, then drive to Valdosta, GA and spend Monday there, hitting amusement parks. I guess we're screwed?
 
I hope your house is built under the newer Florida building code. Seems those houses stood up quite well to Charlie.

I just watched Day After Tomorrow last night, its wierd how there two large hurricanes would come so soon one after another.
 
Yea, my house is pretty safe I think, we built it in '97 and we have shutters which were required here after Andrew in '92 and we're under the newer code.
 
I am so not amused by this.

Nope, there is an allowance for a certain number of days missed due to hurricanes, no make up days

lol, except for ficken COLD weather.

here in north texas, we have perfect weather, with the exception of the occasional severe thunderstorm and/or tornado. (both of which you can hide from and only last a short period of time)
