Hunt and peck keyboard bangers

I moved to a new cube on my floor.

There is a guy who sits next to me that does the hunt and peck typing method and he BANGS his keyboard for each key.

GEEEEEZZZZZ it is annoying.

And this guy is an administrator and is always typing up an email.

Well you think he's bad, Theres a blind woman where I work, now thats HUNT and peck,
drives the people in the office with her nuts.. she definitly knows it by feel; and the keys know her....

i know a guy who we call the 4 fingered maniac, since he types with the index and middle finger of each hand. Suprisingly, he is quite the typer though.

As soon as I started using messaging programs, my typing became a whole lot faster. I can't stand the people who punish their keyboards though. My boss Absolutely slams the enter key. I can hear him from my office.

On my last day here, I think I'm going to rearrange his keyboard.
You should try that Tom. For people who know how to type, it wouldn't be a problem, but the guy working next to you would be completely lost.

you can get keyboards without markings on the keys. they use them to teach typing (so you can't cheat).

Yeah, I could do that one day. He would probably take my keyboard or someone else's one he figured out the problem. He is a bold guy.

Actually, what helped my typing out most was going into IRC channels, where typing speed counts words come out of my head. Typing off of a list isn't nearly as fast for me.

I hate it when I get those calls in tech support. You ask them to type something and they grab the hammer and do a hunt and peck run. Makes you realise why the computer stopped working. It is trying to protect itself.

We just got soft touch keyboards at work and it helps cut down on the noise level of the peckers.

Ohhh that is annoying. My freshman year roomie was like that (man I hated her). I'd have an 8am class and she'd be up til 4m banging on that keyboard. To make things worse, he printer ws old and cranky. It sounded like a cat stuck in a blender.
