Hundreds of yards of fiber is being installed above my head right now.

There are three Verizon techs in the crawlspace above my apartment now running fiber for FiOS. Tomorrow, they'll be coming into each unit in my building to install the termination box. And shortly after that, I plan to order their 15Mbps/2Mbps service.

Dont listen to em man, i'm super jealous. I stalk the verizon guys. They are about 15 miles up a major road and heading my way. Each time they get blocks closer I get more and more excited.

I remember them laying fiber down the main road through my town, last year I think it was. I got really excited, because I figured that since I lived on the main road I'd be able to get it relatively early. Then I realized I lived in Embarq territory.
