Humor: Bush Needs BSD!

Got an email today that I thought was rather hilarious. Initially I thought it was one of those pesky spammers who got through my spam filters. Turns out, he's not. The message actually had a hint of humor to it. It read as such:

From: bush@whitehouse.gov
To: undisclosed-recipients: ;
Subject: (none)

I am testing this out. That's right, Bush needs FreeBSD to survive!

Viva FreeBSD! hehe. 😀

From the tracking data it looks like one of the network admins who works for the whitehouse was testing out one of their new email servers built on Freebsd. Kinda cool, kinda funny at the same time.

 

Why did you get the email? That's pretty neat though.

Not sure why I got the email. I think it was a general broad spectrum test. I'm signed up to the FreeBSD mailing lists, and I think from what I could see it came through one of those lists. Why? Who knows. Maybe the guy who tested the server is a bsd guru. 🙂

Yes, I love Freebsd too. In fact after I get done testing one of my new systems here for reliability, I'm going to be switching it over to a Freebsd workstation. 🙂
