Ironically enough, I saw a 300C parked in a McDonalds at lunch time today with giant ass chrome wheels.

Above the front fender he had decals that said ' 22" '

As if the the wheels weren't obnoxious enough...he actually had to publically advertise the size of these eyesores.

I think that was an actual factory option. Something like the Dub Edition.

Here's the actual link.

Living in Atlanta, I see car like this all the time. Top it off with some fake air vents and a cracked windshield from catching rocks and you are pretty much set. Plus you can't forget the vinyl decal stating that you are complete idiot like "Ridin' High" or "Smooth Roller".

I've actually seen guys almost take out other car because the drivers leans to the side and the car is so high off the ground. Nothing like the dirty south.

LOL, you wouldn't happen to have one of these stickers, eh?

Leave em alone AFAIC. It seems retarded to me, but really why should I do something equally retarded by wasting energy trying to counteract it? Most likely I'll end up with a cap in my ass anyways...

Yesterday (I was also in Metro Detroit), a new (WTF, why do this to a NEW vehicle?) Nissan Armada passed me on what had to be 26 inch chrome rims with super-low-profile tires. A chick that could barely see over the steering wheel was driving while chatting on the cell phone and waving her free hand like the person on the other end could see her.

Thank god I only have to drive in the city on an irratic basis - I live north of the burbs in the country exactly so I don't have to see/deal with these fools.

u srs?

I saw a Jeep Rubicon with these wheels.
Truly a sad sight. I get misty eyed just thinking about it.

Still, I believe in live and let live. If that's their thing, then more power to them.

Yeah go ahead and be an different.. just like everybody else.

Call it personal expression if you want, but if that means adding something to your car to make it worse in every way other than it looking good to a select few, don't surprised if everyone else comes to the conclusion that your an idiot based on your particular personal expression (for reasons already listed here).

for any given style there are a group of people calling them an idiot for it. that will never change, and IMO shouldnt ever change. if you dont "get" why they do it, call them an idiot and move on. they probably dont see why people buy a Hyundai and leave the stocks on it either.

i dont like the huge rims on sedans, i think it looks silly. theres a guy in my neighborhood with a cherry 67 impala, this past year he put 22s on it. looks ridiculous now. thats my opinion tho, not really anything beyond that. as long as the people who put the rims on the car compensated for the lack of stabilization and control at that wheel size/ height, i dont care if they put grapefruit shaped wooden wheels on it.

as for the whole "its dangerous! gonna kill small chilluns!" argument, it puts the bumper at about the same level as a stock truck. same danger from a chevy silverado doesnt make it a death trap nor a hazard.

there are lots of ways to get huge rims under a car the right way... this thread is about these kinds of cars. my friend owns a custom shop and refuses to do these types of jobs, luckily there is a guy down the road that specializes in them. he does it for cardinals players, gangstas and whoever will pay him. i always crack up when i see them parked in the lot.

I don't have any problem with individuality as long as it does not affect other people on the road.

How does his stupidity...er, I mean individuality, affect other people on the road exactly?

This should be illegal.

wtf is that? acrylic/plastic?

Lexan iirc, that's for show cars only. I've seen some ricer style cars with them as well. They're actually good for companies that want to show off brake or suspension components at a show because the wheels don't hide the stuff they make.

Just for the pure WTF factor I'd love to drive around in that McDonalds Regal Donk. What's scary they probably spent more on that than a brand new, fairly nice car. I saw a dude with a semi Donk in LA, he had put about 45k into an 84 Cutlass. One thing I find ammusing, a lot of people pay all this money and end up getting a paint job advertising something. I was in San Diego and saw a Count Chocula donk on 24"s. The paint job was SICK, probably that alone cost more than my cars worth lol. I never saw the owner or I would have talked to him about it. But damn, Count Chocula? Really? lol

Example - Lucky Charms Donk on 28"s. HA HA. Paint job looks pretty bad ass, but Lucky Charms? Really? And it even has the UPC code painted in the front hummm. I wish I had money like this to just do whatever the hell I wanted with it.

It's typical to advertise some type of brand on your car to show what drugs you are selling. Basically, the logo or brands relates to a certain drug and makes it easy for the buyer to identify.
