Hummingbird config...

My work-computer-seti doesn't connect! It worked fine last week but now on Monday seti-cli can't connect.

I downloaded Hummingbird but I don't know how to config it so that my seti client will work! Please help!

I hear hummingbird and think about that unix emulation client we use at work. Lets you connect to a unix workstation and in and get the same functionality has being on the unix box itself.

It's a X-client like Adul said, it's like VNC to use.

The easiest way to use it is to run xdm on the remote host then on your client start xdmcp-broadcast and pick the host you want.

Apart from getting into a remote X-server I don't know what it has to do with Seti though ??

Maybe it's a different hummingbird ????

I don't know how hummingbird would help SETI, either. Hummingbird is basically an X-Windows client for Windows machines.

Talk to Windogg, he found a program like that to get through a firewall.

You're on Team AnandTech, right? 🙂

Check out this.
