My dad took a 3 hour trip north (to central FL) for business and his partner drives a hummer h2. My dad now officially hates the car. It gets ~10MPG (300 mile trip, 30 gal tank, they filled up before they left and the meter was on E when they got there) and he said my Altima is more comfortable (and it can make that trip in < 1/2 a tank).

Hmm, I know an old retired guy who has one (good friend of my Mom-In-Law) and he loves his. He says it drives better than his Cadillac Escalade.

I'd still never buy one though. Even if I had the money.

I still cannot figure out why GM screwed up the hummer design, the only folks I see driving those are soccer moms!

It's simple, they put it on an existing GM platform, the Tahoe. That's why they screwed it up.

Thought it was a surburban frame.

No one here finds it disturbing that you would wish harm on people simply because you do not agree with their choice of transportation? 😕
My first thought as well... was going to ask why does it "serve them right" ?

Tahoe is just a shortened suburban...same thing.

The guy's wife had an expedition, but she was tired of it and traded it in for the h2. Now she says it's too big and he's stuck with it. She's driving his 2 seater MB now. (not sure of the model, but it's tiny)
