Instead of using a pencil or a conductive pen to overclock a tbird/duron, has anyone ever though of using Artic Silver Thermal Compound? I have a bit left over, and I was thinking that it would probably do a good job?

If you look at the site, they say that this compound was design specifically for Thermal disapation, and not to conduct electricity....

Well..if there is silver in it, then it would conduct electricity wouldn't it?

Conductivity is listed as negligable, so I guess that answers your question.

Find someone that still has a tube of copper compound. They were all the rage before Arctic Silver showed up. I remember the copper stuff to be HIGHLY conductive.
