The picture shows the future AMD roadmap. What's interesting is that it's showing 939 pin Athlon 64 FX (130 nm) at Q1 of '04.

Everywhere else I've read shows the first 939 pin part as being the 90 nm "San Diego".

If this is true, it's very good news for me and others that were waiting on the 939 pin FX which does not have the registered ram requirement.

Btw, that picture was taken from this website: http://www.darkcrow.co.kr/Review/Review_Content.asp?board_idx=173

Pretty similar to what x-86 secret reported a couple weeks ago, except they expect the FX-53 to be introduced in Q2.

* Q1' 04: Announcement of Athlon 64 3400+ (2.2 Ghz) and 3000+ (1.8 Ghz), both on Socket 754. No evolution concerning Athlon 64 FX which remains at 2.2 Ghz (FX-51).

* Q2' 04: Release of Athlon 64 3700+ (2.4 Ghz) for Socket 754. In parallel, a Socket 939 version of Athlon 64 3400+ and 3700+ are released. At the same time, Athlon FX-53 (2.4 Ghz) is available on socket 940 AND Socket 939, which indicates a complete migration of A64 and AFX towards Socket 939.

I don't follow your logic.

How is a 939 pin 130 nm part released in Q1 of 04 "pretty similar" to a 939 pin 90 nm part released in Q2?

Are you talking about the slide or what I posted in reference to the 90nm comment? All of the cpus in my comment are 120nm.

Well, it does show a S939 at .13µ... But it doesn't specify Q1. I suppose you could interpret it to be H1, though.
