We've been told for a long time now about the myth of so-called evolution of humans. How humans are modernizing, becoming educated, etc. This might be true in terms of book knowledge but in terms of decency, kindness, love (another overused word), and general goodness I truly doubt we have ever evolved. Sure, we can send a man to the moon but we cannot respect this planet - ever look at how many species have been wiped out or are going to be extinct soon? We cannot even respect each other, so how can we respect the Earth and its creatures?

This is not about Darwinism, though some think that humans must necessarily evolve. I don't think it will happen automatically unless they work at evolving.

The reason I post this is because I saw this article:

http://news.yahoo.com/pakistan-prepares-saudi-royal-hunt-protected-birds-134514092.html

These hypocrites who supposedly follow their organized religion have no shame whatsoever. These so-called Muslims, the Saudis, the protectors of the Islamic faith, seemingly don't seem to really follow their religion. They pump out countless amounts of oil out of the ground and ocean to live lavish lives. Is this true Islam? Is mistreating servants from the Eastern countries considered Islamic? What a bunch of BS. Yet, they think by wearing headscarves and other religious clothing, they are Muslims.

The Pakistanis, who seem to need money for their politicians and other "leaders," have no problem with destroying even more of their land. Yet, these people call themselves Muslims and kill others in the name of their religion. Yet, do they even follow a tiny amount of their religion? Not based on their actions. Sure, they have Muslim names, Muslim wardrobe, and go to the Mosque but what about the actual ACTIONS?

Just another example of the true nature of humans. This is who we really are - a bunch of hypocrites. We talk about our organized religions all day long yet follow nothing. Or follow only certain parts that suit our agenda. Like the parts that supposedly call for killing others. That, we have no problem with.

You were okay talking about human evolution or lack thereof, but making it about only muslims is just plain bigotry.

realbrad's message is that he is superior to you. You make him smile.

What I see is a perhaps young person who wishes there were less pain in the world. I have great sympathy for that longing. I do not believe that true happiness is possible in this miserable world where children are born into such suffering. But I believe that love is the answer. You want the world to be full of love and you want to feel that love, is what it seems to me, because that is why I used to suffer, longing for just that. But I died one day to all hope that good would ever be the way of things. And it was only in that death of hope for all of my dreams that a hidden door opened and out of it poured love unimaginable. The kingdom of heaven is within you. It is not out there. All the love in the universe and more doesn't come to you, it flows out of you when you awaken in true being. There is only love and that is all there ever has been. There is nowhere to go, nothing to evolve into, nothing to become. There is only infinite being here and now.
