Just saw some Iraqis holding up that banner lol.

At least the Iraqis know the human shields support Saddams bloodthirsty regime.

They called us "wankers".

Funny I asked someone for at least one pic of Iraqi's protesting our presence, he replied people won't protest when the invaders are right there with guns. Notice they were standing right in front of that APC with dozens of foot soldiers around as well....

Now I want to hear from all the peace protestors yelling about how what we're doing is wrong. If you are watching the same thing that I am, I don't think I've ever seen the Iraqi people ever go up to one of Saddam's police or military members and put their arm around them for a picture like I'm seeing right now on TV happening with our troops. There is nothing that anyone can say about that now.

Now they are walking down the street carrying their banner, what horrible human shields, why are they not trying to get to the last areas of resistance????

The protestors (nor the rest of us) will never fully fathom what it is like to have lived under an oppressive regime like the one Saddam put together. I can't even imagine what they must be feeling to finally know that Saddam is finished. But watching the scenes of of the Iraqi people celebrating is amazing. I guess they haven't heard that we are just there to steal their oil

I wish. I was watching this morning before I had to go to work. In fact I was late because I couldn't tear myself away from the TV. Now I'm just sitting here at my desk wishing I had a TV.

[EDIT] BTW, does anyone have a link to a picture or video of that banner?

There are live reports that Iraqi citizens are making fun of them in the street as well though....

Just because they oppose the war does not mean they support Saddam.

It is farily obvious that most if not all people here in North America agrees that world will be a better place without Saddam.

The antiwar faction, just wanted a different way to remove him.

That's all.

Too bad they never came up with a better viable solution.

Yea, I'm sure none of the other couple hundred people there (many tearing down Saddam's statue) agree with those 2.

The only suggestions I have read here is to give it more time. No one can seriously believe that would have made any difference. If you want him removed, this was the only way. If you don't want him removed, opposition to the war is understandable.

The story is. The Iraqis took the sign from the human shields and added Go Home above and U.S. Wankers below.

Hrmm...these scenes should look rather familiar to the older citizens of Europe (France anyone?)
