BEAVERTON, Ore. -- Investigators searched for evidence Thursday after skeletal remains were found in Beaverton.

Two people were walking Wednesday from the Nike Campus to the MAX light rail station at 153rd and Jenkins when they spotted bones in the woods.

Police say they make periodic sweeps in the area to close a nearby homeless camp.

The medical examiner was working on the remains, which appeared to have been there about a year.

Yeah, I heard about this yesterday.. kinda creepy how they've been there for a year.
 
I miss working at NIKE, fun job and plenty of good perks.

That is freaky though, the area right across from the campus is pretty forest liked from what I recall.

Actually, I do. I think it was a lot less than a year ago though. For me JB stands for the coldest person whose posts I've read here so far.

They were, although a bit freaky at night. People would come through the trails there all the time as a back way to the light-rail station -but the trick was that you wouldn't see or hear them until they come walking right out of the darkness up to you. Thank was...

Thankfully I never had to catch the bus at night time but it would run so $#@! infrequently. That's the #67 I think? Then I'd have to catch it to the BTC then to downtown then to home, a nice 1.5 hour one way trip.
 
Try living here in Southern New Jersey. Since its suburban boom in the eighties, they have dug up close to 200 bodies during construction projects of differing sorts. This place seems to be the former dumping ground for the South Philadelphia Mob.

About a year ago a friend of mine had a dead bumb found under his big backyard patio. His family said they started smelling something rank and it kept getting worse but they had no clue what the smell was. When they started investigating they found a body, nasty..........

You think that's bad, the park and ride for that stop is literally connected to the parking lot of my complex. :Q My girlfriend walks to the stop every day to go downtown to PSU. She said when she went the other day there were several police cars, there was a large area cordoned off with police tape and theu were searching the area with dogs. :Q
 
When I lived in the Bay Area we use to bury assholes in the Santa Cruz Mountains and I don't think any of them have been found yet 😉
