Some products you just do not get at Home Depot. I have heard that the products they have on the shelves, while they are supposed to be the same, in a lot of cases, if you check the UPC with a good retailer, or the manufacturer, it is not the exact same item. Some items will hold up and others are much cheaper in quality. I just used a Fiska Pole Lopper and the dam thing jammed after cutting about 10 branches, all of which fit into the cutter head. Needless to say, it went back for a refund (which they did without question)

Our landlord here (in Spain) just replaced our (broken) stove-top of an old, cheapish stove with a brand-new "micro-computer controlled" vitro-ceramic one that normally would cost €270 for the top alone. Just saying. And no, I don't expect to be billed for it. (Why they did this, don't know. I could get a used, even a fancy ceramic one second hand for €40 :) )

That's crazy! I have never seen an all plastic faucet before. And they go for over $100?! o_O I have a Moan, but it's brass. LMAO
Noooo, it is not! It's a brass finish. Solid brass would cost a fortune. I have solid brass, and porcelain fixtures in a bathtub, and they were over a $1000 25 years ago. I spilled some chemicals on a "brass" Moan and the finish peeled away, to reveal pot metal.
