ummm....that is kind of low.....don't you think...but, if it is all you can give, then sure.

think about how much he/she is going to spend on you for the night before you write the check. is there an open bar? if so it usually costs around 15-25 per person to drink. is the meal a plate of chicken or steak or is it a buffett? buffetts cost a bunch too. overall $50 isn't a bad gift especially if it is out of your budget.
