Does it work for Canadians yet? Yeah, didn't think so. :|

I am finding this all over the internet now. Everyone is banning Canucks from video-watchin :(

It drives me nuts. I got into the Hulu beta twice, just to find out I could not even watch anything.

KT
you can add these to the list if you haven't been SHUT DOWN at these sites already:
anything from
- CBS (old Star Trek and Twilight Zone episodes! :( )
- MTV (stuff my wife watches like The Hills)
umm.. a few other sites i can't recall at the moment

I know that it is easy to find stuff via torrents, etc, however it just makes it inconvenient when you want to view something someone links to and you can't... can they at least let the people in Southern Ontario watch? :p

Cool, old Twilight Zones!

Thanks for that, I had no idea. I'm assuming at some point they will allow all of us North of the border to watch, but I don't really understand the holdup. Probably something to do with Canadian content or some other CRTC bullcrap.

KT
I would be surprised if the CRTC could influence foreign broadcasting companies. That, and knowing the CRTC, this would be quite a ways off their radar, since their policy decisions tend to lag behind somewhat. I tried a bunch of proxy sites and some other recommendations because I REALLY wanted to watch those season 1 ST and TZ eps... to no avail. If anyone can find a workaround, PM me! ;)

At least your dollar goes further now

Maybe if it works out, they'll do a Canadian version.

Wonder how well it'll work fullscreen with my tv as a monitor. Might catch up on The Office if it does. Just watched season 1-3 on DVD.

I don't think the commericials are intrusive.
30secs or less per commercial and only 3 or so per hour.
Not nearly as bad a regular tv.

I like a lot of the older shows they have.
Lots of them are as good/better than stuff out now.
Kojak , I hadn't seen in probably 15 years.

So far so good. I wish something like it was available through xbox live (like netflix rumors). Watching on a computer is meh, and tv out is meh with no current way to output audio. (I don't have the hardware needed)

Yeah, the way I have it set now is with two monitors.
I put all tv display on the second monitor.
I also have the second monitor cable run through an averkey device to output to tv.
It looks better than the video card (7900gtx) tv output.

Needs more full episodes/movies as well as better buffer handling(for less pausing/hiccups during playback).

Thats what I have, 8800GTX w/ 2 outputs and dvi to hdmi cable. No reciever though, so no audio. Not the end of the world, especially for just a tv comedy where correct sound doesn't really matter.

Hulu movies is pretty nifty! Didn't even notice that tab before (been using it off and on since beta.)

Found "The Big Lebowski" and started watching right away (zero lag). If you watch a trailer, you can watch ad-free. Otherwise there's commercial breaks. Switch to 480p mode and it looks pretty decent on my HDTV.

Woo! haven't seen News Radio in a while.

Why are some of the movies edited while others not?

You have to sign up?

I used Hulu for the first time last weekend. Nothing new to install. Met expectations. Would use again. Don't recall any brief freeze-ups.

You have to register to watch R rated movies. Everything else you can just watch.

And yah, I use the site all the time. Especially now that they show new episodes of The Daily Show and Colbert Report the day after they air on Comedy Central.

I use it every day, I love it, no problems with it at all and they are quick to add content. At least for The Office, Conan, Leno, Colbert.
