HUH? Biostor mobo that I ordered (M7VIQ) has Intergrated MC' modem. Whats that?

I don't see any modem hardware on the mobo in the pictures. What is that? It should be here Friday or Monday so I'll see it then. Is that just the sound for the modem?

I dont know where you got this information. the term MC is not even in the Biostar dictionary.

Look in the chart on the KM266 side. MC'97 Integrated Modem... Right here.

Well this is a first. I had never heard of this but I found out that it is on the AC97 audio chipset and it is a AMR modem in the simplest terms. I hope you dont have to use it. Some motherboards that have built in modems allow you to disable it in the BIOS but if you do it disables the onboard sound.

Hmmm, I guess I'll have to wait to get the board to look at it. Cuz I don't see any hardware on the board in the pictures.... I'll post a new thread if it does indeed have one.
