Probably a little pre-emptive, however I gotta know, will Serra defend his title, or will Hughes, for the 3rd time, become the Welterweight Champion???

Hughes (34 y/o): 41-5-0, 13 KOs, 18 Submissions
Notable Wins: Royce Gracie, Frank Trigg X2, BJ Penn, GSP, Sean Sherk

Serra (33 y/o): 9-4-0, 1 KO, 4 Submissions
Notable Wins: GSP, Chris lytle

How is it gonna go down folks?

I think Hughes will beat Serra, then GSP will get another title shot and take it back from Hughes.

GSP will have to fight once before he gets hughes, he's not the #1 contender right now.

I think that Hughes has a great shot but I think that Serra will prevail I think that Hughes has a great shot but I think that Serra will prevail because Hughes does not have great stand-up skills.

My cousin trains with Hughes so I would rather Hughes win it is just I don?t think he has the skills to do it. (That is if he does not train better on the stand-up in preparation for the fight) That and his recent coming out of retiring in 3 to 5 fights, which was messed up.

I hope that Serra wins so that he can put another beating on GSP!

I don't think Serra has any shot. Hughs is gonna whip him like a red headed step child. Serra got lucky with GSP. A washed up out shape Shonnie Carter held Serra off for 3 Rds And you think he can beat Hughs?

I would like to say that Hughes is gonna win it. But after hearing him talk about retirement from the sport in 3 or 4 more fights makes that questionable. Serra may have a shot beat him.

I cant wait for the fight thought.:D

Hughes also said that because he wants to leave the sport, he wants to go out a champion. He said that he is going to train for these fights harder than he ever has.

You hear that from a lot of fighters, but if that is the case and Matt H. trains for this fight the way he traind for BJ penn or Frank Trigg, Serra is in for a long long night.

Anyone watching The Ultimate Fighter series? Serra mouths him constantly.

I can't wait for the fight, it should be a war!!

That is right Hughes said he did want to go out on top and with that in mind I think that this fight is up in the air!

I also can't wait for the fight I will be sitting at the bar cheering for a highlight real finish.

GO SERRA!!
