They didn't allow the TIMs to cure. That could have an adverse affect on the numbers of Arctic Silver 5 and other TIMs that need curing... otherwise, results look pretty normal - very little difference between TIMs, with MX-2, Shin-Etsu, and IC 7 Diamond (the main ones I recognized) performing slightly better than AS5.

Their testing protocol leaves a lot to be desired, so it's conclusive of nothing. Plus they left out Ceramique...

i would prefer to see frostytech perform a TIM roundup. they have an excellent synthetic test bench. it's disappointing that the manf. directions were varied from to this degree. still, the point is clear: anything not crap will perform similarly. i'll go on using tx-2 since there's no cure time and i'm already happy with the product.

not sure why AS would complain about the AS5 not receiving curing time... in the end it still appears to be one of the top performers, not that the margin of difference is high enough amongst the top half or so to declare any of them to be out right winners, so even if curing time makes it perform better then that makes it even better...not to mention its one of the most easily obtained of all TIMs

I've seen 5C load drops from 24 hours of curing at load. Please not it probably takes less time that this, that was just the sample base i happened to have due to long work hours and getting lots of sleep.
