anywho, it looks like you dont need to pull the board
however if its a sony machine, make sure you can fit the ultra

I didnt say the XP90 was on sale, I said Ultra90, SI120 and SI97
find those at better prices with very cheap shipping

whats my best option as far as quality, than whats my best bang for the buck option? ill need an lga775 bracket and a fan, so keep this in mind.

For socket 775 you should go with the Ultra 90 and that Panaflo Fan that was mentioned for an additional $5 is a pretty good deal. You shouldnt need any additional brackets if mounting it on a 775 as that is what it is intended for and mounts the same as a stock cooler.

Well I just picked up a SI-97A for my work box as well as a 92X25MM fan for the SI-97A. I was thinking of picking up a SI-120 too for my home box but I don't have enough money.

i got from a friend a free amd xp1800+. from what i could find on the net, it is great cpu to overclock. any recommendations for a inexpensive hsf that is relatively quiet but will be good to overlclock
