Sam's Club is offering a $10 rebate in December on the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feeback racing wheel. Their price BEFORE rebate is $69.95, which is already well below the $100+ this thing sells for everywhere else.

Too much $$ for me, but if you're in the market, seems like a great deal.

Unfortunately this is not available with a USB connection but still not a bad price. I wonder if this is a sign that they're clearing them out for a new version. Their FF joystick was recently revamped so I would assume that this will be as well.

There actually is a Sidewinder Force Feedback Wheel USB version, but I'm pretty sure this isn't it (judging from the box).

I almost got suckered by this. This is the regular Sidewinder force feedback wheel with USB. The one that's going for more than $100 is the Sidewinder Force Feedback PRECISION PRO. That's the difference.

Spend a little more and get the Precision Pro. Its worth it.

The Force Feedback Pro is a joystick, which might or might not be "worth it". There is no Force Feedback Pro wheel, only the FF Wheel and the USB FF Wheel. There is a Precision wheel, which does not offer force feedback.

Check out the Samsclub.com website guys (click on rebates on the first page, check the computers/accessories box), it is for the wheel, although they do have it listed for $129 on the site. You might want to check locally, because if this is $69 at the stores, it's a SMOKIN' deal. I'm headed out there tonight to check it out.

Yes, the comments about "Force Feedback Pro" don't apply to the wheel. There are only two force feedback wheels, USB and non-USB. The price on both is upwards of $100 everywhere.

As for the $129 price on the Sam's club Web site: If you go through "click and pull," you can find out what the wheel is selling for in your area. At my store, outside DC, it's $69.

Is there any new version? There is an I-force 2 in some other brands.
Also how it compares to the V4. I bought one for 29.99 at office max, but there is no games

Pete, which games? My Cow orkers say MidTown Madness is really fun, but I don't want to buy it if it comes with the wheel.

Thinking about getting this for the wife.
How does this compare to the Logitech FF wheel, which is what I am using?

Hee hee - I love the mental image of a household with multiple force-feedback steering wheels. I think the Logitech actually uses the Microsoft feedback meachanism, so the overall feel should be similar.

hehe RobsTV "Thinking about getting this for the wife."

Great idea! Maybe I should get one for my wife to practice with since she always hits the garage when parking the car ;)

btw Midtown Madness 2 is great, my kids play that for hours on end!...me too :)
