i was running an epox 8k7ha+ and i replaced my ocz pc2400 ram with samsung pc2700, and the computer worked fine for about 2 days, then it would not get past the device list thing, and it would just freeze. so out of curiosity i stuck the old ram back in, and it botted, so then i stuck the new stuff back in, and it halted on boot saying check sum error, so i pulled the new, threw in the old again, then it would boot, but no screen, monitor would shut off. so i pulled the mobo and stuck in my brand new epox 8k3a and windows xp booted up fine with no reinstall!!!!!!- that was pretty sweet.
but i'm wondering what was wrong with my kt266a board.
the samsung runs fine ont he new board, so far.
but an answer would be great.
oh yeah one more thing, got an agoia xp1600+ running at 1800+ at default voltage (unlocked it with super glue and conductive pen).
