HUGE problem w/ FOP38 CLIP

alright.. i ordered 3 FOP38's from a group buy, and 1 of the clips were BROKEN. so my friend and i are like, okay... so we tried to use a clip from some other heatsink. that didn't go too well, my CPU overheated the second i turned it on. so now im screwed out of 1 heatsink.... WHAT SHOULD I DO?!

sorry i'm not of any help to this, but HOW do you break a FOP38 clip? i mean, unless someone cut it with a saw... those things are tough

you can probalby buy a new clip.. try www.2cooltek.com

I thought those things were tough too, but then I broke the part with hinge...that part is actually not too sturdy

I ended up using a clip from on of those old 486 heatsinks, and it worked like a charm

dang vman, you got lucky

ill probably go to 2cooltek, even though their clips say &quot;celeron clips&quot; ill probably ask them to see if they still work for the fop
