Huge noob here with a question

Ive had my build for a good 7-8 months now, and ive only had a 500 gb caviar blue HDD from WD. Im looking to add an SSD to that because I wanted something alot faster after seeing how slow this HDD really is. Its ranked extremely low on just about any benchmark, but then again thats a HDD for you, what would you expect. Im looking to add a SSD just to keep a couple or few games on, along with my OS (windows 7). My question is, can I just plug this SSD in, and if so, how do I move windows over to it? If thats even possible. My price range is anywhere from 0-150$. Ive been looking at corsair and intel SSD's but I wouldnt be sure which one to get, so if anyone could help me with that, that would be nice.
