HUGE LCD scratch

While moving my rig, I accidently brushed one of the big screws on the back of my tower clear across my LCD... needless to say there's an enormous scratch now on the surface. Is there any product out there than I could buy at, say, Best Buy to remove this scratch? Or is this monitor toast?

If its an LCD than it is probably toast - the front of an LCD is a fibrous material that holds in the liquid crystal (LCD = liquid crystal display) - so you can't scrub out the scratch like you might be able to on glass or counter tops.

You may be able to fill it. I have no idea if that would work, or what product you could use. The idea would be to build up layers, polishing in between applications in the scratch, until the scratch is level with the rest of the surface.
