Tripleshot - Nope, Best Buy had a sale going. Got a new 30 gig hard drive as well. I switched to Taxcut last year because they were less expensive and included a state return. Review say they're the same level as Turbotax.
Yo_Ma-Ma - All the reviews I have read over the last two years say that MS Money has caught up to Quicken. I think they're both around the same level. There was a deal to get MS Money standard with the purchase of Taxcut. My wife actually picked the items up and she bought MS Money Deluxe. I'll get $35 back, but it'll still cost me $25. I may take it back. I was only going to change because I've bought basic/basic/deluxe of Quicken on a three year cycle twice (I've used Quicken longer than just 6 years). I like to see if "deluxe" has become any better, basic has been ok every year. I was on a "basic" year, and the Deluxe version of Quicken would be less expensive and basic MS Money would be free. Most of what the "Deluxe" versions offer I can do in my sleep (maily build a retirment plan or save for college).
The good thing is that my bank account, my credit card, and my brokerage account all allow direct downloads into both Quicken and Money.
vi_edit - registering as a Democrat would be a big change, I think voter fraud is a felony (not a US citizen yet). Actually, the Democrats don't seem to mind people not being citizens <grin>.
