Ok, just wanted to give everyone a hug (or a manly handshake, take your pick), I'm in a good mood again tonight... 
After Thumper left for work, I went and picked up a U-Haul trailer at the local U-Haul place. One of the ladies at my brother's office is moving away and selling some of her extra stuff. I bought a nice used Thomasville couch and loveseat today, along with two end tables and a coffee table (cherry wood, glass in the middle, very nice). Total of about $2,000 worth of stuff, paid $500. Very good condition too.
Picked up my brother after getting the trailer and drove to her house (about 45 minutes away). Got the stuff, brought it back here, then returned the trailer. Stopped into Thumper's night job with my brother, we had dinner there (she served us of course), I left her a big tip too... Check was about $27, left her a twenty. She'll probably punch me for that one...
Dropped my brother off at his house, said hi to his wife and my two nephews, and came home...
Life is good...
