Good riddance. That makes three Colorado senators who've lost their jobs because of their civilian disarmament agenda. Perhaps they should have listened to the 90% majority of Colorado sheriffs who opposed the legislation.

Hopefully this serves as a strong warning to legislators in other states: screw with people's firearms and not even Nanny Bloomberg's billions can save you. It's just a shame that we don't see similar action in response to the constant assault on other civil rights.

She resigned as a political move, i'm sure the Party told her to step down.

Hudak's move ends the recall process, as now a Democratic vacancy committee can appoint someone to fill her seat until 2014.

Too bad we don't have a recall rule to get rid of that asshole Obama.

It was a brilliant move, now they will just put another Dem in there. At least until it goes to election in 2014.

I cannot stand her, and the Dem's may think they have won, but it makes my heart warm that she was embarrassed and has to live with it.

Excellent news, though I would have preferred a recall election. This way the Dems will just appoint another weasel with same views but sense enough not to admit them.

The two measures approved by the Colorado Senate that are "gun control" are supported by a majority of Coloradoans. The Senators were recalled because most voters don't vote in a recall election. But more than FIVE TIMES as many residents approve of background checks as oppose them. Basically, the citizens of Colorado got screwed by a vocal and stupid MINORITY.

When asked about universal background checks for all gun sales and transfers, those surveyed overwhelmingly approved, 85-14. And when asked about the statewide ban on high capacity magazines that hold more than 15 rounds, voters still approve, albeit by a very slim margin, 49-48

Approval is not the same as voting for a person. neither is polling.
Denver may approve; but she does not represent Denver.
If the voters in Arvada do not care enough to block the recall; then they deserve what they get.

Giron's slaughter at the polls occurred because her voting record was wildly unpopular with her constituents, not because "most voters don't vote in a recall election."

In fact, nearly 35,000 people voted in the recall election, a turnout only 25% lower than the 2010 election. Democrats considerably outnumbered Republicans at the polls. Giron still lost by a 12% margin, which is particularly stunning since she won in 2010 with 55% of the vote.

But he is an unprosecuted war criminal. As such we'll still mention him as an archetypical asshole.

if it were true, yea. unfortunately there is not a shred of evidence. anywhere. only brain dead low information voters are still bitterly clinging to that shit sandwich.

the un security council resolution 1441 passed by a unanimous 15–0 vote; russia, china, france, and arab states voted in favor. literally everyone friends and foes alike, who had access to what would have been top secret information believed that hussein had wmd's.

in 2004 the U.S. Senate report on iraqi wmd intelligence in neither phase I or II found any lies by the President. they concluded that numerous failures existed in the intelligence-gathering and analysis process. the report found that these failures led to the creation of inaccurate materials that misled both government policy makers and the American public. the committee's republican majority and democratic minority agreed on the report's major conclusions and unanimously endorsed its findings.

but wait "Noah Shachtman, non-resident fellow at the liberal Brookings Institute researched the 400,000 leaked documents (wikileak) and discovered that for years afterward, U.S. troops continued to find chemical weapons labs, encounter insurgent specs in toxins and uncover WMD … and especially chemical weapons on the Iraqi battlefield.

Remnants of Saddam's toxic arsenal remained and there was evidence of other countries, possible Iran, coming into Iraq to help themselves and make their own deadly agents.

In 2008, our military shipped out on 37 flights in 3,500 barrels the last of what the AP called the major remnants of Hussein's nuclear program – 550 METRIC TONS OF YELLOWCAKE."

obviously there are any number of op-ed posts that would respectfully disagree with the facts. if you care to look you can most likely find articles on a weekly basis on this very subject courtesy of mother jones, huffpo, daily kos, long on hyperbole - short on facts.

of course if you possess some first hand knowledge that you're willing to divulge, i am more than willing to laugh at it.

Make no mistake about it, this was a very clear and huge victory for the NRA and for gun rights supporters. The fact that 2 Democrats were recalled and another Democrat resigned and fled in shame after passing the crappy laws in a very, very good thing to happen in Colorado and in Jefferson County.

A clear and present message, if you mess with our constitutional rights, we will fight. The feable liberals only want to spread rehtoric, but when faced with an actual fight, they will scramble like rats getting to the highest point on a sinking ship.....then the ship sinks.
Real men never beat women, but some of these insane bats need a beat down, by recall or resignation. It sends a clear message......nobody successfully fucks with our 2nd ammendment!

Do liberals ever realize that their idiotic gun control ideas don't work? Stop violating the 2nd Amendment and leave gun owners alone. You guys should actually go after the criminals.
