I will put you down for a “no” then in meeting these needs via the personal charity of progressives like you. Guess you need the money more than that poor person you’re complaining about.
I stated my solution and I vote. :)

Tripling the payments, wow. Talk about a golden opportunity for progressives to step in with personal charity to fill the gap.

The labor of the poor is adding soley to the value of the piggy banks of your golden idols. It is no other way. The gap has only increased, and your golden idols are wealthier than they have ever been compared to any reasonable comparison in history: quality of life, amenities, healthcare and all that, pure wealth.

It's only logical, and human, to accept the fact that much of this wealth that is funneled into their troughs is largely unearned value when you consider that is analogous to those VC and CEO nutjobs in SV paying young bros to siphon away their blood, thinking it will make them younger. ...when you consider that this is exactly what you endorse, this sort of mad, unrestrained, nonsense wealth, then you have to understand that you and your idols are the vast minority of wretched scum that are destroying this country from the top. And it's actually quite dangerous. Even a wee bit of actual humanity will go a long way in preventing the inevitable pitchforks and torches. That's not something I want, but it has happened again, and again, and again, and again, and will always happen. Continue to support Nero all you want. Don't complain when the inevitable happens. Or, you know, grow some humanity for once in your life, open your eyes, and actually be a part of this weird country for once.

Get thee education.

Government shouldn't even be involved with housing. It is not the role of government to give you a house, this is wasting taxpayer dollars.

Cool. Just publish your address so all the poors and homeless can start living on your lawn. Think about it, you fucking idiot: what are you going to do with the physical issue of a new wave of some 30 million+ homeless people if you remove all assistance?

Are you going to suddenly flex your good Christian muscles and give them shelter?

I'm pretty damn sure that the vast majority of people who are covered by HUD have jobs and the the reason why they have to turn to low cost housing is because of low wages.

I've known people who receive assistance through HUD while working 2-3 jobs to pay for household expenses.

So they are morally bankrupt or they would be richer and have better jobs. /s

I guess that’s a no from brycejones. I guess it’s much easier to support progressive redistribution when you expect someone else to pay for it.

Given your never ending advocating for charitable contributions and constant FYGM posting what % of your income do you give to charity every year?

In a better world they wouldn't be. In the one we have they need to be, at least for some. And I don't want those folks suddenly homeless because that we absolutely don't need.

It's getting hard and harder for those at the bottom to get educations, good jobs, health care, housing and such. I wish we could just kick them and they'd magically become motivated and capable of success, or that trickle-down really worked, but shit ain't like that.

I wouldn't mind it either if it were true, the democrats have long since abandoned the middle class, but their true believers still defend them Trump style while pointing to those nasty republicans as the evil rich mans party.

Put down the partisan koolaid, sober up and you will realize the democrat party of today is nothing like the democrats that backed the middle class which resulted in the high standard of living we enjoyed for many years.

Gawd. Poor people are as motivated as the rest of us, often more so.

No problem for the Repubs pulling off this kind'a shit because I'm fairly certain they think these poors don't vote so what's the problem here? For that matter those Repubs up on the hill have been stabbing their own middle class and poor working folks in the back for nigh on decades now and they still get re-elected time and again. This inexplicable phenomenon is what enables them to keep on keep'in on with this charade, this scam they're operating against their own working class constituents.
economic calvinism is possibly the weirdest part of american evangeloconservatives

Goes back to the Puritans. With them, work was inherently virtuous therefore those with more money must work harder therefore must be more virtuous.

They'll pass a $2 trillion corporate tax cut, but raise rents on those struggling to keep a roof over their heads. I don't know how Republicans can look at themselves in the mirror these days.

The GOP leadership just breaks into a big grin & says "What a bunch of Rubes! God, how I love fucking them!"

That's actually a perfect solution. Let the homeless occupy country clubs, golf courses, and gated communities. Devalue their homes, cost of housing goes down!
