It's what Jesus would do.

I don't mind that republicans are the party of the rich at the expense of the poor if they were just honest about it. But what is even worse is all the Jesus lovers that make up the most vocal base of the R wing support the most non-Christian policies and positions, like this. It's fucking gross, disgusting and the pinnacle of human hypocrisy.

Carson is an awesome example of this complete with a painting of him and Jesus. :D

FTFY, you could save yourself many keystrokes by just stating your usual world view.

I guess that’s a no from brycejones. I guess it’s much easier to support progressive redistribution when you expect someone else to pay for it.

Tripling the payments, wow. Talk about a golden opportunity for progressives to step in with personal charity to fill the gap.
I propose to tax the holy hell out of the rich to pay for housing for the poor. One system giveth onto the rich all out of proportion to the value added by the rich so I propose a second system to take some of that away.

No problem for the Repubs pulling off this kind'a shit because I'm fairly certain they think these poors don't vote so what's the problem here? For that matter those Repubs up on the hill have been stabbing their own middle class and poor working folks in the back for nigh on decades now and they still get re-elected time and again. This inexplicable phenomenon is what enables them to keep on keep'in on with this charade, this scam they're operating against their own working class constituents.

Many Christians just use their religion as a way to feel superior to other people. The more someone talks about how Christian they are, the more likely this accurately describes them.

I wouldn't mind it either if it were true, the democrats have long since abandoned the middle class, but their true believers still defend them Trump style while pointing to those nasty republicans as the evil rich mans party.

Put down the partisan koolaid, sober up and you will realize the democrat party of today is nothing like the democrats that backed the middle class which resulted in the high standard of living we enjoyed for many years.

Interestingly the Democratic party as a whole skews towards the wealthy. The New York Times noted in October 2016 that in a recent poll 45% of households making over $100,000 were voting for Democrat Hillary Clinton opposed to 28% of Republicans voting for Trump. Those earning above $250,000 were even more skewed towards Hillary, with 53% planning to vote for her vs only 25% for Trump.

This is a non sequitur. Do you think that if someone is rich it means that they cannot support policies that would negatively affect the rich in order to benefit everyone else?

Considering how Hillary stole the primary from Bernie who represents the 99%, this is a very long winded way of saying Yes it is.

That said we do have people who represent the people but conservaterrorists just start comparing them with national socialism.

The likelihood of Crooked Hillary doing this would have been pretty much zero.

Rich Democrats apparently aren't consumed by greed & lust for power like their GOP counterparts. When Hillary promised to raise their taxes, they gave her more money.

I will put you down for a “no” then in meeting these needs via the personal charity of progressives like you. Guess you need the money more than that poor person you’re complaining about.

Government shouldn't even be involved with housing. It is not the role of government to give you a house, this is wasting taxpayer dollars.

I agree. We need higher quality designer office furniture for government officials instead. Priorities people.

You know full well that charity simply won't meet those needs. You're just playing the shame game, one of your faves.

I think I've said this before, but as someone who lives in a low income housing apartment building, I'm one of the few people here that didn't vote for Trump. The majority of the people in my building are utterly dependent on foodstamps/disability/medicare/medicaid/HEAP/social security or some variation of them and by and large most of them cheer on Trump as the guy that swooped in to cut all the red tape and fix everything. I live in NY state.

I already had you down as a "no" even before your response confirming it.
