American diplomats calling the UK a fucked up Dickensian society, comments on how the British royals think that they're re-engaging in colonialism again, how Obama's visit to Canada was a tool to help massage the Canadian psyche and temporarily diminish the habitual inferiority complex, how Sarkozy felt sorry for Canada so he invited Harper over for a ceremony, etc.

While I can't say that I disagree with you Red Dawn, its still kinda weird thing to come from Huckabee.

On one hand, as Gov of Arkansas, Huckabee has compiled a good record as a social progressive, while on the other hand a good part of his appeal to the radical right is based

From the articles I've read Manning is apparently the source for EVERYTHING leaked so far, the diplomatic and the military stuff.

As a result of 9/11 and especially the 9/11 Commission, a major criticism of our intelligence system then was there was too little of inter-agency intelligence sharing. To state the obvious it now appears that we've opened the floodgates too wide-when a pfc can cause so much damage so easily.

Oh, and OP, you have no concept of what facism is. Get your meds adjusted. Back on topic, Huckabee is one of the very few fundies that I respect. But for legal reasons treason is probably not the best choice of charges-too hard to prove and execution will raise sympathy for him. I agree. Someone HAS to put a price tag on the most damaging thing to happen to US diplomacy in a long, long while. The damage is very real, both compromising US interests, endangering the lives of Americans as a whole (by portraying it as an even bigger Satan for the Muslims; truth is ugly, what can you do) and putting specific American sources and operatives under immediate risk. And that should go unpunished, just because you want to see the dirty stuff while browsing the internet at your basement? Hell no.

4000+ troops are dead because the previous administration, at the very least oversold their evidence.

However you feel about the leaks, has anyone been harmed as a result? I haven't heard of a single person.
