Hub to hub communication sometimes is slow?

Hello,

Here is my setup, I have 7 computers in a small office, and two 5 port hubs (linked). When talking between computers on the same hub, I can transfer a 40 meg file is about 15 seconds, when transfering the same file to a computer on a different hub, it takes anywhere from 15 seconds to 45 minutes? Any ideas on why it would fluctuate so much?

Check your uplink cable. Also make sure you dont have another connection plugged in to the port that is taken over by the uplink port, alot of small hubs have a seperate "uplink" port that actually just uses port 1 of the hub and reverses the wiring on it.
