Any chance to move the forums or at leaset the login page to being encrypted?

because UN/PW are sent in plain text and can be easily captured?
Actually it's hashed client-side before being transmitted, and then hashed again before being stored.

How coincidental that you would bump this! HTTPS is one of the things that we on the Community Team would like to see as well. In fact, this has been brought up in discussions and we're doing our best to make it happen. I can't give an ETA on it, but rest assured that it is being worked on and we will roll it out as soon as we can! :)

Excellent!

The internet seems to be going to an encryption everywhere model (especially with organizations like Mozilla pushing for deprecating "non-secure HTTP") so it's nice that you're on top of this.

It's a couple lines of config change in Apache and maybe an hour work to setup the certificates and stuff so definitely don't see why not other than the cost of the cert. Nice to see it might happen!

There is no reason to put a site like this HTTPS (Not force it anyway)

HTTPS DOESNT SOLVE ANYTHING.... The Elite can still see everything!!

See this thread: www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,30194071

All you do is cause problems where there isnt any! (Some ppl might not be able to connect via HTTPS for one thing) -- SSL is only meant for BANKING AND FINANCIAL SITES!!!
