There is no ****** WAY an x1900XT beats the SLI

THere is something wrong with that review

you're meaning to tell me with crossfire out you think it can beat Nvidia's dual card solution?

this is shuch bullshit

look at where the 512mb sli stands in some of those, near the bottom

what kind of crock is this? i am not saying it's biased
but that's wrong and i demand a re review, i will pay for a re review this is such ******

Ignore the "Maximum Quality" benchmarks, since some of them are using 8x AA on the NVIDIA cards (which is SSAA+MSAA and causes a *much* bigger performance drop than 6xAA on the ATI cards). They don't even indicate which settings are being used in each game.

Ignore the NoAA/NoAF benches, since the 7800GTX512MB SLI is horribly CPU-limited at those settings in most games.

That leaves the 4xAA/8xAF benches. The only place the X1900XT comes close to the GTX SLI in these is in FEAR.

Now, think about this for a second: you're comparing a higher-clocked 16-pipe, 48-shader GPU to an lower-clocked (effectively) 48-pipe, 48-shader GPU. In a situation where the game uses lots and lots of super-heavy shader effects (like FEAR does, as does 3DMark05), the X1900XT *should* perform close to or better than a 7800GTX SLI.

re review anand

such a biased review, OMG GET ATI IF YOU WANT THE BEST

SLI reigns supreme, nvidia reigns supreme

signed nvidiaboy

Also, from the conclusion of the HardOCP review:

If you want the fastest performing video cards right now that provide the highest level of image quality in games, it doesn?t get any better than the Radeon X1900 XT and XTX. You get High Quality AF, Adaptive AA, HDR with AA, and very fast shader performance. If you have been waiting to play F.E.A.R. at very high quality settings, your wait is over; the Radeon X1900 XT/XTX is the card for you.

It says for Fear.,

THe SLI is unprecedented
how can a noob dual card using a dvi dongle claim the king of dual cards

they need to incorporate tests that are fair, man.

dude chillzor...
#1 the cards are on par right now. X1900 does better in some games, GTX512 does better in others, and in some they do exactly the same. crossfire and SLI are two completely different things, so dont start flaming at anand cause their crossfire scores are so good. have you noticed how good SLI does in black and white2? yea, its called you get some you loose some.

Id say go for the setup that performs best in the games you play the most.

no way
i've built my pc as a lowbie, my guillemot geforce 256 was king

i do not believe this for ONE BIT.

This is SAD, Nvidia needs to get their sh1t together

bruise me, I had an x1800xt and it SUCKED compared to a single GTX running on a 30"

Cruise me for a bruising please, considering money isn't the issue for me.

I highly DOUBT
ATI can fix their crossfire woes in one driver, it's BS
they hid the x1800xt driver issues in crossfire, what's stopping him now

that's like saying the 7800GT sucks to an x1800xt. the x1900xt is NOT the 1800

You need to calm down dude. Go read a good book or something until you can accept the fact that the new ATI cards are pretty nice. No, a single X1900XTX will not beat SLI'd 512MB 7800GTX's except maybe in FEAR but they are a good card nonetheless.

lets see 7800gtx in sli have 48 shaders total one x1900xt has 48 shaders it could happen. BTW I give high five to all the editors here they are the most un bias hardware site i have ever seen.

Is this some kind of parody thread? You do realize that the x1900 has 2x as many pixel shaders as a single gtx, and FEAR likes to use those pixel shaders a lot?

Haha, this thread is a complete joke, as is the OP.

So... you are complaining to AnandTech because they released a review about the X1900, and because their review showed the X1900 as faster. Then, you demand a re-review where Anand should rewrite the article so it is completely biased towards Nvidia?

Got any more completely ludicrous statements for us to laugh at?
