HTTP and FTP requests time out?

Here's a new one for you guys...

A few days ago I noticed that no one could connect to my FTP server. Just all of a sudden. So I asked a few friends and no one could connect to my website, either. So I doublechecked all the settings... they're exactly the same as when everything was working.

I was thinking that maybe my ISP shut down the ports? But I don't know why they would've done that... I wasn't generating all the much traffic. Anyway, I can still access the internet and other resources just fine at the same speeds. And the domain name will resolve every time you tracert it.

Here's the info:
Domain: hoobersempire.com

The connection just seems to peter out after a few hops. When you tracert the IP, though, it resolves to my router and then times out for obvious reasons. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Are you running this at home through DSL or a cable modem cause you might have lost your ip address. Check to see if your current IP on your FTP and Webserver are the same as what your DNS is reporting for your domain name. Then try typing http://your-current-ip-address to test your server out and find whether or not it's a DNS issue.

Already checked that... it resolves the name to the correct IP just fine, so that's not the problem. I was thinking maybe the ISP had finally closed the incoming ports.

I just pinged your domain name and the request timed out. If your router was accepting the ping it would have at least replied... It resolved 208.202.106.206 I hope ya figure it out. Good luck.

Yep, the router rejects pings, so its not going to reply. Thanks for your help Scarpozzi.

Anybody else? Think the ISP could be blocking it?
