Depends on your motherboard, some of them can run the HTT higher than 1000 with out a problem, so as long as you are stable, I wouldn't worry. It's best to try and keep it under 1000 when overclocking, but that doesn't mean some motherboards can't handle the higher HTT, but it doesn't realy benifit anything either.

Is it Superpi and Prime stable? Their wouldn't be ANY performance decrease in going to the next multiplyer down the the hypertransport bus. So just nock it down one, and overclock the processor MORE ;)
