HTT multiplier

I'm realizing that there's more than one multiplier to set on A64 boards. There's the one that determines the CPU clock and one that determines... something else. I read most of the time that the HTT multiplier should be set to 3x or 4x. What factors determine what I should be running. This will be a 3200+ Winchester on an Asus A8V w/1GB of BH5 PC3200, FWIW.

You want your HT Link to run as near to 1000MHz as you can get it, but better to run it lower, than higher than 1000. To get the HT Link speed, take the HTT that you have set for your overclock (example: 250MHz) and that would mean you would run a 4X HT multiplier.
Depending on your boards BIOS the setting to do a 4x multiplier might actually read something like "HT Link :800MHz"
