HTT and OCing

So, when i OC my rig in the sig, i run a 5/6 divider, FSB to 255. vcore at 1.474x1.10 = 1.6225vcore (is that too much?), then i set the HTT multiplyer to 3 so is under 1000. is this the right thing to do or can i got above 1000? if you could clear that up for me that would be great. thanks for your help. BTW i am running a SI-120 cooled by the side fan on my case...HEHE idle/load @2.8 34/52
 
It's best to try at keep it at 1000 or below, but leaving at 4 would only put it at 1020, which shouldn't cause any problems. But having it where it is now won't really impact performance anyway, so if you are stable, I'd just leave it alone.
 
HTT won't affect your performance, so forget about it. And 1.62 is on the high side, but I'd say in 95% cases, that is ok. And even if it doesn't like it after a while, most chips don't fry, but they won't take that voltage anymore, and you have to go down some.
 
I think the HTT only starts affecting performance once you go under 500/600. How high your HTT will go is dependent on the board I think and you may be able to run it at 1100/1150 without any problems though, as others said, you wouldn't find any performance gain doing this.
