HTR-6030, looking for calibration advice

I just went through a lengthy process properly setting up and calibrating my first ever flat screen TV. After all that, and the various settings and meter readings and calibrations, it occurs to me that I never went through anything remotely as detailed with my audio receiver and I'm sure there are similar steps to go through to ensure at least good sound, if not professionally set-up sound. Is there a calibration disc or something that will guide me through all the large quantity of settings on this receiver that I've never bothered toying with?

Lol, I Googled to help you and I found the your other thread.

Looking into it it seems the 6030 lacks YPAO, as that came in with the 6040. So let me just ask: did it come with a calibration mic? Or even just a place on the front to plug one in?

Yeah, I post here and on AVS because often I get different people, different opinions.
No, there's nothing like a calibration mic input.

I feel you, I like both forums too.

Honestly this is the kind of thing computers can do MUCH better than humans can. Unless you have a golden ear, I would look at software like this:

It can help you optimize everything much better than your ears and some DVD.
