I'm building an htpc for the living room that is going to be hooked up to a Samsung pn58c8000 3d tv and a Yamaha 5.1 surround sound system. It's going to be used for playing 3d movies off my hdds, 3d games, music, browse the internet.
budget is 1000-1500 US dollars; parts prices over there are close to the us e-tailers prices., they're goin to be bought from Malaysia; my brother is going to bring em with him in a couple of days; so time is of an essence. I live in Saudi Arabia. Not a fanboy of any brand. I'm building this pc from scratch so everything is new!! No overclocking for the time being, but may be in a year or so. resolution is 1080P. I'm getting married in a week, then going to Turkey for our honey moon; so I don't have time to search online and stuff, I need some help please. the last pc I built was 3 years ago and still going strong. But I need an HTPC now for the living room. Can't drag the full tower to the living room anymore 😛

I can order from the US, but it's going to take forever+shipping charges are quite high. But if I can get me a better case with more features, better build and stuff; then I can order it from the US. For the other parts however I'll be getting them from Malaysia..
I've heared good things about the i5 2500K proc. but I'm worried that the other parts that i'll buy woun't fit in this htpc case; so I need some help. I need the case to house at least 5 HDDs; which both cases can do. I'm open for suggestions on the other parts.
I'll be getting an SSD for the OS, plus I have 5X2TB hdds that I'll use. No raid solution, just good old backup every now and then.
