HTPC software - how many megs per show?

Looking into building a basic HTPC again, how many megs does a SD show (non-HD) take up for like 1/2 hour?

Depends on the bit rate, ie, I setup mine for 8000bits which usually uses about to 1gb per half-hour.

That's pretty good then, 320gb hard drive for $95 will give me more or less 300 shows. Thanks!
