HTPC set with cable box

I think I'm missing something here.
I would really like to set up a MCE machine with a TV tuner in it, but I have to use a cable box to access all my channels. How do I go about with that set up?

A remote isnt an IR Blaster. An IR Blaster would hook into your PC via serial or USB and has IR outputs on the other end. Your PC then sends the change channel commands through that and to your cable box.

A HTPC remote. Beats the hell out of me as to why.

EDIT: It looks like that remote may come w/ an IR blaster. If you look @ the additional pictures you can see some other objects included with it.

The MS MCE remote has a built in IR blaster that works only with Windows MCE.
