HTPC - Resizing recorded TV?

Good morning,

I have my HTPC setup with a HDHomerun tuner and I recorded a 1 hour show last night. I used Windows Media Center to record (.wts extension).

Ended up with a 9.15GB file. Now, can someone provide or link to a step-by-step guide to converting/resizing?

Thanks!

Handbrake doesn't like the .wts files that WMC7 creates for some reason. I use windows movie maker first to convert to a .wmv file, then use handbrake to reduce the file size.

wasent aware of that issue with WMC7 and HB

Also very easy is windows live movie maker 2011, you can create your own profile regarding bit stream and resolution. Not as advanced as handbrake but you can also use movie maker to cut unwanted material. So depending on your quality needs, you don't need to run it through handbrake afterwards.
