First, I would like to thank in advance for any advice on this system and promise to help others from my new acquired knowledge.

I got this Q & A from AnandTech: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=80121

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.

a. HTPC/KARAOKE/GUITAR running Windows 7 Ultimate w/ 3 Terabytes of storage and room to grow movie library to Petabytes (for the very distance future). For CPU/RAM, whatever it takes to get the job done plus some extra room to spare.

1. WMC for media and off-air hdtv signal and Virtual DJ running Karaoke/Guitar
2. Balance analog input:
a. Karaoke/mic 1st analog INPUT
b. Guitar 2nd analog INPUT
c. Stereo or 7.1 (for future) balance OUPUT to a pair of active-speakers
i. Any recommendations for XLR to 1/8 mini or phono plug for analog I/O would be greatly appreciated. I was thinking of soldering Cat6 cables for my analog I/O cables.

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread

a. I am mentioning specifics of my whole system so you can better see the whole system/picture – up to $1000 - NOT inlcuding:

(...and I just need help with the PC Build, I am quit capable of integrating these equipments to the PC)

1. 58” Panasonic plasma
2. Mackie MR8 pair
3. Shure wireless mic
4. Fretlight usb/phono guitar
5. Logitech diNovo Edge bluetooth wireless keyboard
6. Logitech non/BT MX Air wireless mouse
7. Aliph Jawbone Icon bluetooth headset
8. WiFi or Bluetooth wireless control for 2 x incandescent lights and 1 x flourescent light dimmer.

3.What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from?

a.USA

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.

a. Intel just because always used them but open for suggestion

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.

a. Nothing, only have a laptop now

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.

a. Ran searches for HTPC on Anand and Google, but my system (I think) is so specific that could not find any article to sum it up.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds

a. I don't think so but if it makes sense in your opinion, I would like to do it - I do not plan on gaming.

8. What resolution YOU plan on gaming with.

a. No gaming but will be 1080P

9.WHEN do you plan to build it?

a. ASAP

10. Don't ask for a build configuration critique or rating if you are thin skinned.

a. You can’t learn and grow without critique.

You're not going to get any sort of desktop system whose storage can hit the petascale. That's several racks worth of equipment (and a few million bucks).

Petabytes are worth a lot right now, but I am anticipating on the future. By the time I need Peta, it would be a lot lot less than it is now. Really, I know it will take me awhile to fill up 3 Terabytes, let a lone peta. I'm just looking into the very distance future. Again, thanks for posting.
