Long time lurker, first time poster.

I built an HTPC with i5 3550K and Asrock Pro3 z77 motherboard and have a weird issue when going from one HDMI connection to another. When I start the HTPC, there are no issues; the signal comes and the TV displays properly. Now when I change the source to another HDMI port and then come back to the port in which the HTPC is connected, I lose signal and I keep getting some white noise static etc. This happens only if I switch between different HDMI ports! The signal comes back when I disconnect the device (non HTPC device in this case ROKU) from the other HDMI port. I dont think it is the HDMI ports as this doesnt happen with any other devices I connect

I have an nMediapc 2000b case if that matters. Any hhelp solutions would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

What graphics adapter are you running? A driver update or rollback might help. This sounds like an HDMI handshake problem, which can be tricky to fix. The graphics adapter and the TV must both say hello to each other each time the source is switched, and sometimes they just don't want to speak the same language. I had a similar problem with my 7750, when it wouldn't send audio to my AVR after sleep. I was running 12.10 catalyst, and rolled it back to 12.8 with no problems.

Thanks; Just to update; everytime I put the computer to sleep and turn it on; the snow/grain/static goes away and then the display is back. similarly, it comes back when I turn off the TV and switch it on. I agree it is most likely the handshake issue.

I am running Intel HD 4000; I dont have a discrete graphics card. I have the latest driver (just updated it from intel site) Any idea on which driver might work. Maybe I should try rolling it back to the one which came with the motherboard. Please let me know if you think of something else. Thanks
