I can get a 2400s for around $100 used or the non s for about $25 more. Then theres the option of a 2500k for $50 more. But because of heat I'd only consider a mild overclock on it as to not have to increase voltage. I am curious at stock speeds is there much of a difference in current games say(crysis 3) to justify the extra cost? I'd rather put the money toward a better video card if not.

Just not finding much on the 2400s gaming wise. Everything I find is pointing at the non s.

with no OC 2500K is 200MHz faster than the 2400 (3.2 vs 3.4Ghz with turbo on), while the 2400s seems to be over 500MHz lower than the 2400 non S, I think the extra $25 are a reasonable investment, as for the 2500K is it $50 over the 2400s or over the 2400?!

if you are going to use a p67-z68-z77 motherboard, the 2500K can be overclocked by 1GHz or more, the 2400 and 2400s around 400Mhz.
