HTML Help: jpg not found... insert default.

Is there some HTML code out there (or javascript or whatever) so that if /images/xyz.jpg is not found it will auto-insert a default /images/abc.jpg

does that make sense?

It might be possible to do it in javascript. I don't know how to check and see if an image loaded properly with javascript.
